Asuncion "Choncita" Flores Vallejo

Asuncion “Choncita” Flores Vallejo of Avondale, Louisiana passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on September 2, 2026 at the age of 98. She was born in Yuscaran, Honduras. Choncita loved to crochet, knit, sew, bicycle, cook for her family, garden and loved her pets. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Oscar Vallejo, granddaughter Denise Vallejo and her parents, Otilla Flores Chavez and Federico Chavez She is survived by her children Ricardo, Dennis, Robert and Armando Vallejo; her grandchildren Angie Mazerat, Erin Maldonado, Alyce Vallejo, and her great grandchildren Eliza, Emerson, Emile Maldonado, Amelia Moran, and Kyla Vallejo. Also survived by many other relatives. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at 11am.
