Anthony “A.P.” Matthew Petrovich entered into eternal rest on January 14, 2026. Beloved husband of the late Frances Morovich Petrovich. Father of Vinca P. Oubre (Brian), Thomas Petrovich (Chantelle), and the late Stephen Petrovich. Grandfather of Jonathan Oubre and Stephanie Oubre. Step-grandfather of Amanda Price (Alex) and Dennis McInerney. Son of the late Vincenza “Vinca” Farac Petrovic and Troje Petrovic. Brother of the late Troje “Rudy” Petrovich (Gail). Brother-in-law of the late Tom Morovich (Carolann). Uncle of Troy Petrovich (Karla), Tory Petrovich (Marcie), Cheryl Morovich, and Tom Morovich, Jr.

Age 90 years, a native of Empire and Nairn, LA, and resident of Luling, LA. Anthony was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a graduate of Holy Cross High School class of 1953 and played baseball in professional minor leagues. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Luling, LA and the Croatian Benevolent Association. Anthony was the longtime owner of Petrovich Grocery and Hardware in Empire, LA. He will be deeply missed by all. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to Second Harvest Food Bank or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy, Harvey, LA on Tuesday, January 20, 2025 at 11 AM. Interment Nairn Cemetery, Nairn, LA. Visitation will be held from 9 AM until service time.
