Anna Maria Nunez Badeaux

Aug 17, 1951 — Jun 6, 2026

Anna Maria Nunez Badeaux entered into eternal rest on June 6, 2026, at the age of 74.

Anna was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Her greatest joy in life was her family, and her greatest blessing was the life she shared with her beloved husband, Clarence Paul Badeaux. Married on January 7, 1972, they spent 54 wonderful years together. They were truly inseparable, facing life's joys and challenges side by side, embracing every adventure, and making the most of every moment. Together they built a life filled with love, faith, laughter, travel, and cherished memories.

Known for her strength, resilience, and unwavering faith, Anna faced many health challenges throughout her life with remarkable courage and determination. Through it all, she remained a source of inspiration, always trusting in God and never losing her loving spirit.

In her final moments, Anna was surrounded by those she loved most. Her husband Clarence; her daughter Stacey; son-in-law Mike; grandchildren Blake, Devin, Kristina, and Demi; and great-grandson Dawson, remained faithfully by her side, surrounding her with love, comfort, and reassurance as she peacefully entered the presence of her Lord.

Fun-loving, adventurous, and young at heart, Anna loved traveling, horseback riding, hunting, caring for her chickens, shooting pool, shopping, and spending time with family and friends. She especially treasured horseback riding with her daughter Melissa and her goddaughter Krystal Ann Rosser, sharing with them her lifelong love of horses and proudly cheering them on at every barrel race.

Growing up in the Irish Channel, Anna developed a lifelong love for Mardi Gras. One of her most treasured memories was riding in the Krewe of Cleopatra's 50th Anniversary Parade at the age of 71 alongside her daughter Stacey and granddaughters Demi and Kristina. Following that Anna remained an active participant in the Krewe of Cleopatra, attending events and functions whenever she could. She especially enjoyed crafting glitter cups with Stacey for parades and celebrations, creating cherished memories while sharing in the sisterhood and traditions she loved so much.

A faithful member of Mt. Hermon UPC and the Young at Heart group, Anna devoted herself to serving others. She was a prayer warrior with a compassionate heart, always willing to help those in need, support her church family, encourage a friend, or feed the homeless.

Anna never met a stranger. Whether offering a prayer, sharing a laugh, or lending a helping hand, she had a gift for making people feel loved and welcomed.

Anna is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, Clarence Paul Badeaux; her daughters Stacey (Mike) Perreira and Melissa (Robert) Ahlborn; her grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart, Blake Strander, Devin (Kristina) Strander, Demi Perreira, Robert Ahlborn, Jr., and Maegen Ahlborn; her adored great-grandson Dawson; and baby Koen, whose arrival she eagerly anticipated.

She also leaves behind her cherished "chosen grandchildren," Davin, Brianna, baby Jackson, whose arrival she eagerly anticipated, Jessica Chiasson, Johnson Vu, and Gabrielle Strander, whom she loved as her own.

She is also survived by her siblings-in-law Liz (Bill), Karen (Keld), Dennis (Phyllis), and Chris (Debbie); her beloved cousins Juan "Johnny" Núñez Williams, Albert, Joe, and Gabriel Briones, Buster Trotter, Roy De La Cruz, and Lynda, George, and Carlos Garza; her godchildren Krystal Ann Rosser and Lance Badeaux; her nieces and nephews Brittney (Duglas Sr.), Lil Dennis "Tuttie" and Dustin Badeaux, Jonathan, Tommy and Aaron Beebe, Chris Jr., Amber, Brandon Badeaux, Romel and Nicholas Alombro, and Lil Duglas (Duggie); numerous extended family members; and dear friends.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents Gertrude Graff Nunez and Frank O. Nunez; her sister Patricia Nunez Rosser (Rickey); and her brother Frank O. Nunez, Jr.

Anna will be remembered for her loving heart, enduring faith, adventurous spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her legacy of love, kindness, and service will live on in all who knew and loved her.

Because purple was Anna's favorite color, the family warmly invites friends and loved ones to wear purple in her memory. Let it serve as a symbol of the love, faith, strength, and joy she shared throughout her life as we gather to celebrate a life well lived.

Though our hearts are saddened by her passing, we find comfort in knowing she is at peace, reunited with loved ones who have gone before her, and resting in the presence of her Lord.

"Well done, good and faithful servant." — Matthew 25:23
