Ann Marie Gibson Butler

Ann Marie Gibson Butler, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loved ones, on June 28, 2026 at the age of 73 years. Beloved wife of the late Harry Simpson Butler Jr. Loving mother of Jennifer Butler Abercrombie (George) and Lizabeth Ann Johnston (Michael). Grandmother of William Abercrombie, Isabel Abercrombie, Margaret Abercrombie, Mason Johnston, and Jackson Johnston. Sister of Diane Hasley (Jimmy), Clinton J. Gibson Jr. (Sarah), and Kenneth A. Gibson (Belinda). “Auntie Ann” to Daniel Hasley, Laurie Hasley, Maria Cooper and Logan Gibson. Daughter of the late Marie Duet Gibson and Clinton J. Gibson Sr. Also survived by her beloved friend, Angela Winchester along with other loving relatives and friends.

She was a lifelong resident of the Westbank, serving as a public servant with the Jefferson Parish Streets Department for 34 years and Registrar of Voters for 13 years. She will be sadly missed.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 4401 Seventh Street in Marrero on Thursday, July 2, 2026 from 9 AM to 11 AM. A Funeral Mass will follow. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park in Gretna.
