Anita Z. Roudolfich

Anita Z. Roudolfich, aged 92 years old, of Marrero, passed away on July 21, 2025 surrounded by loved ones.

Mrs. Anita, as she was affectionately known, was born on May 25, 1933 in New Orleans to Lawrence and Amy Zimmerman. She graduated from Westwego High School in 1952 and married Valence Roudolfich in 1954.

Mrs. Anita was cherished by all that knew and loved her. She loved her family and friends immensely . She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and was part of the Immaculate Conception Ladies Altar Society. She spent a great deal of her time donating her time and her fudge to the sweet booth for the fair.. She was a member of the Chateau Dames Marrero group that was founded in 1952. She referred to her 9 years in the Krewe of Cleopatra as “the best years of her life!” She played Pokeno with her closest and dearest friends for more than 60 years and even traveled the world with many of those friends. She was known for her amazing gumbo, shrimp vermicelli and her pralines.

She is survived by her children Valence (Donna) Roudolfich Jr and daughter Becky Riley, daughter-in-law Susan Roudolfich, Grandchildren: Amanda (John) Aguilar, Jessica (Tony) Koon, Erika Roudolfich, Mieke (Eric) Passman, Casey Riley (Tyler Pitre) and Logan (Shelby) Riley. Great Grandchildren: Luke and Leo Combel, Maddox and Jack Koon, Samuel and Amelia Passman and Logan Riley Jr. and her brother; Martin (Linda) Zimmerman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Lawrence and Amy Zimmerman, sister; Audrey Krider, son; Paul Roudolfich, granddaughter; Megan Roudolfich, and son-in-law; Kenny Riley.

A service to celebrate Mrs. Anita’s life will be held on July 26, 2025 at Immaculate Conception Church, with visitation beginning at 9:00 am and Mass at 10:00 am. Burial service to follow at Westwego Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Cemetery.

Mrs. Anita will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
