Amy Vicknair Williams entered into eternal rest on September 8th, 2023. Originally from Gretna, La., Upon her passing, she was a resident of “The Woodleigh” in Baton Rouge since 2021.
Amy was so well loved by everyone she met. She was the sweetest, kindest person you could ever meet and never had a bad word to say about anyone. The Good Lord is receiving an absolute Angel.
Beloved Wife of the late Clifford “Key” Williams, they were married for 43 years from 1967 until Keys passing in 2010. Amy and Key enjoyed many years on the beach at their condo in Ft. Walton Beach and their home on Lake Ponchartrain in Slidell, La. After Hurricane Katrina took their home in Slidell, they moved permanently to Baton Rouge where she would enjoy being close to her son Todd and her grandchildren. Amy and Key were the Owners of Key Acoustics in Metairie where she served as the CFO. Amy also enjoyed many years of volunteer service at East Jefferson General Hospital in Metairie. She was also a past member of the St. Jude Foundation and the Garden Club in Metairie where she served on both boards.
Amy was preceded in death by her Father and Mother, the late Joseph and Mildred Vicknair. Also preceded in death by her two Sisters, the late Faith Viallon (late Geary Jr.) and the late Gaynel Pounders (John).
Mother to her only child, Todd Harrell (Colleen). Stepmother to the late Brent Williams (Barbara) and the late Sharon Williams. Grandmother to Spencer Harrell (Lauren), Taylor Harrell (Claire) and Parker Harrell. Step-Grandmother to Jennifer Lofton (Davis), Kelly Fortmayer (Justin) and Lorian Patrisko. Great Grandmother to Jules Harrell and Julia Harrell.
Aunt to Tammy Duhon (Terrance), Dawn Vinson (Joe), John Pounders Jr. (Belinda) and Godmother to the late Geary Viallon III.
Relatives and Friends are invited to attend services between 11am-1pm on Friday, September 15th, 2023, at the Chapel of Faith Mausoleum, inside Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 1225 Whitney Ave. Gretna, LA.
