Amanda Ryan passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at the age of 69. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on April 29, 1957 to Mary Grace and Walter Muller. She is the wife of the late David Lee Ryan; the mother of Jessica Armond (Daniel); the Grandy of David Lee Ryan Rodriguez (Rashaad), Ryleigh Grace Barrios (Mark), Karly Ortiz, Trinity Williams, and Gigi to Kinley Marie Armond; and great-grandmother of Greyson and Kamri. She is also survived by her sister, Wanda Muller (Michelle), as well as her godchildren, Ronnie Roth and Madison Scofield, and a few very special family members and friends. 

A native of New Orleans, and proud resident of Marrero for almost 40 years, Amanda graduated from Immaculata High School, in 1975. In 1983 she married the love of her life and they founded The Ryan Company, Inc. Amanda and David were successful and well respected as a small business owner in the roofing and construction industry in the New Orleans area. 

Amanda was loving, compassionate, funny and unfiltered. She enjoyed spending time traveling. However, her true passion was spending time with her loving daughter, son in law and grandchildren. Amanda was unique and irreplaceable, well respected and liked, and will be deeply and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her spirit and fun loving nature will remain in the many memories of her cherished friends and family until they meet her again. 

Relatives and friends will be invited to attend a Celebration of Life, to be scheduled at a later date.
