Alcide Gabriel Guidry went home to be with the Lord at the age of 97 on Saturday July 26th, 2025. After 72 years of marriage to the late Dolores Barrios Guidry, he is survived by his children Paris Guidry Chiasson (Jerry), Glenn Paul Guidry (Sandra), and Rhonda Guidry Byerly. His legacy lives on through his beautiful grand daughters Jamie Lee Chiasson, Jill Chiasson Cantrelle, Casie Guidry Hope, and Courtney Elizabeth Guidry. Furthermore, his great grand children, Cadence, Josiah, & Addison Hope, Kassidy, Kelsey, & Camden Cantrelle, and Davey & Chloe Robeaux will honor him by keeping his memory alive. Brothers and sisters of our dearest Alcide include Gladys Guidry Savoie, Lawrence Guidry, Aline Guidry, Norman Guidry and remaining brother Clarence Guidry. A. G. Guidry, who was also lovingly known as “Lil Five” was an active member in his church and community, best known for his contributions to Cornerstone Men’s Ministry, Golden Opportunity Club, Alhambra, the 49ers Dinner Club, the Knights of Columbus Marrero, Jamaican Dance Club, a member of Timberlane Country Club for 20 plus years, and the founder and owner of La Maison Creole for over 40 years. He also served his country as a corporal in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. We know that A. G. has been united with his beautiful wife in Heaven, and we will always cherish the time we had with him as the patriarch of our family here on this earth. May he enjoy his eternal reward with our Heavenly Father. The Guidry family extends their most heartfelt gratitude to the incredible care givers of A. G. And Dolores: Felix and Denise Ordoyne, Mary Fisher, Kitty Rando, and Sandra Pitre. You all have truly been angels sent by God.
