Alayna Nicole Blanchard

Alayna Nicole Blanchard, age 30, peacefully passed away on April 11, 2023. Loving wife of Alan D. White, and daughter of John Ezra Blanchard Jr. and Connie Benoit Blanchard. Sister of Megan Cohen (Mathew). Aunt of Atlas James Cohen and soon to be baby Cohen. Grand-daughter to Brenda Lee Benoit and the late Peter Benoit; John Ezra Blanchard Sr. and the late Darleen Blanchard; Rebecca Gunter and the late Danny Gunter. Niece to Caroline Persica (Joe), Chad Benoit (Karen), Chris Blanchard (Kellee). She is also survived by a host of cousins and extended family. She loved to read books and watch sports especially LSU and the New Orleans Saints. She loved her dog “Buddy”. She never met a stranger. Alayna was a warrior and overcame many medical hurdles all her life. She will be missed dearly by all. Friends and family are invited to attend a funeral mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Homes, 2100 Westbank Expressway, in Harvey on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at 1:30PM. Visitation will begin at 10AM. Interment will follow immediately at Westlawn Memorial Park, 1225 Whitney Ave., in Gretna, LA. In lieu of flowers please consider donations to Cornelia de Lange Foundation at www.cdlsusa.org . The family will be holding a memorial service at a later date in South Carolina in Alayna’s honor.
