Mr. Alan Joseph “Buddy” LeBlanc took God by the hand and entered Heaven on the morning of Sunday, June 29, 2025 at the age of 78. He was born and raised in Westwego, Louisiana where he was best known as “Skinny”. He met the love of his life, Kathleen Victoriano LeBlanc and moved to the bayou where he resided in Barataria, Louisiana. They shared 54 loving years of marriage together. He was known for his welding training and mechanical skills, for which he made a living for his family with Texaco. He is the beloved father of Sheree LeBlanc Hymel (Ryan) and Michelle R. LeBlanc. Loving and proud grandfather of Macie R. Hymel (Dylan) and Rylee A. Hymel. Son of the late Lacey Joseph LeBlanc, Sr. and the late Claire Fayard LeBlanc. Brother of the late Lacey Joseph LeBlanc, Jr. and Carolyn LeBlanc Camardelle (the late Jimmy). Son in law to the late Leonard P. Victoriano, Sr. and Rose Mary Pizani Victoriano. Brother-in-law of the late Leonard P. Victoriano, Jr. (Kirsti). Loving Uncle of Kevin LeBlanc (Wendy), Jamie Camardelle (Donna), the late Jason Victoriano, Cory Camardelle, and Kenny Victoriano. Godfather of Kevin LeBlanc, the late Jason Victoriano, and Kenny Victoriano. Godson of the late Merlin Fayard and the late Verly Langlanis. Survived by great nephews: Landon LeBlanc and Sylas Victoriano. Also, survived by great nieces: Brooke Camardelle Phillips (Jonathan) and Lacey Camardelle Billiot (Blake). He had so much love and gratitude for his adopted family: John Buckman and Barbie York. He also appreciated and loved the Boyd and the LeBo families for adopting him as one of their own. Buddy is best known for his companionship to his loving fur babies the late Zowie Malee, Joleen Alayna, and Jake Cooper. A special thanks to Dr. Thomas Melancon and his amazing staff, as well as, Dr. Ralph Katz and his wonderful staff. We would also like to offer one last thanks to the excellent nurses of LCMC - WJ on the 5th and 8th floors for their ability to treat him like he was part of their family.

Alan was drafted at a young age for which he served in the Army for two years during the Vietnam War. He went through basic training at Fort Polk prior to traveling to Vietnam. He was boots on the ground and worked as part of the supply chain. He was honorably discharged and received an impactful letter of recommendation for his service in the Army. Once he was home and settled, he would be found riding horses, bulls, or racing cars. He loved to enjoy life. Alan was known for riding others’ horses during rodeos so that their horses would win in the competition. He has spent lots of time telling stories about his horses named Prince, Tilly, Baby B, Monday, and Flame. As his life with a family on the way changed, his love turned to fishing and hunting. He could be found working on his fast car, fishing in his boat, or hunting with his buddies. For over 30 years, Alan was a hardworking man that held positions at Avondale Shipyard for many years before moving to a position with Texaco. The position with Texaco at Garden Island Bay brought him many lasting friendships that turned into a brotherhood of men. Later in life when Alan wasn’t enjoying his bayou living, he enjoyed spending quality time on his property in the country that brought him much joy and peace. You would find him working on his equipment, visiting with his loving neighbors, or cutting his acreage with his tractor. In all of this, you would never hear him complain. He was extremely hard working and would do everything in his power to protect his family, ensure they knew they were loved, and provided everything that anyone needed. He is truly a remarkable man who also enjoyed joking around, watching movies, and making Tik Tok videos with his granddaughters. We will treasure our memories and the love in our hearts for our Buddy.
