Agnes Virgie Marchese, a native and lifelong resident of Gretna, LA died Monday, December 6, 2016. Beloved daughter of the late Salvadore “Sam” Marchese, Sr. and Margaret “Maggie” Panepinto Marchese. Beloved sister of Margaret Marchese Laughlin, the late Rosary “Sister”, Anthony “Don”, Frank “Bing”, Salvadore, Jr. “Sammy”, John Lloyd, Alvin and John Roland Marchese. Sister-in-law of Nola Marchese, Donald Laughlin and Sylvia Marchese. Dearly loved aunt of Pamela M. Philastre, Melissa Marchese-Smith, Sammy Marchese, III, Meeka M. Cheramie, Larry Laughlin, Jackie L. Strader, Scott Laughlin and the late Darlene L. Matherne. Beloved great aunt of Jeffrey, Jason, Courtney, Eli, Ethan, Patrick, Lee, Ryan, Matthew, Amanda, Aiden, Ian, Makaylain, Amber, and Addie. Aunt Peachy of Reggie Marcotte.
Agnes “Peachy” was a Parishioner of St. Joseph Church and a graduate of Redemptorist Girls High School. She was retired from McDermott Inc. as an Executive Secretary.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church, 6th St., Gretna, LA on Monday, December 12, 2016 at 1:30 PM. Interment, Hook and Ladder Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Parlors will be open at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Monday, December 12, 2016 from 9 AM until 1PM.
