Ada Marie Gautreaux Dufrene

Ada Marie Gautreaux Dufrene passed away peacefully on October 11, 2022 at the age of 93 years. Beloved wife of the late Harding J. Dufrene. Loving mother of Kathleen “Kathy” Moser. Mother-in-law of Joseph “Joe” Moser. Grandmother of Shane Moser (Jessica) and the late Melissa “Missy” Moser. Great-grandmother of Emersyn L. Moser. Sister of Doris Crosby (the late Bert), the late Elsie Pitre (Eugene), the late Hilda Bourgeois (Pierre), and the late Minola Matherne (Colbert). Daughter of the late Loredia Allemand Gautreaux and the late Edmond Gautreaux. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Ada was a native of Lockport, LA, was a resident of Westwego, LA and was a longtime employee of the Westwego Post Office. She and her beloved husband were charter parishioners of Holy Guardian Angels Church in Bridge City. Ada was a selfless and loving caregiver, caring for Harding and her granddaughter Missy during their difficult times. She will be sadly missed.

Visitation will be held at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Boulevard, Marrero, LA on Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 9am to 11am. A Funeral Mass will follow. Interment Gate of Heaven Mausoleum in Westwego.
