William Gerard Zatarain

On July 25, 2021, William Gerard Zatarain, longtime resident of Algiers, Louisiana passed away at the age of 68. He was predeceased by his parents, Roy and Rita Zatarain, and sister Darlene Wattigney. He is survived by his two daughters, Shannon Umbach Mastrianni (Tony) and Dr. Lauren Azure Zatarain (Kevin Fontenot); grandchildren, Christopher Guillot, Alexis & Jordan Mastrianni (Kristen), and Hannah & Nathan Fontenot; great grandson, Benson Mastrianni; and his lil’ darling, Frannie. He was a graduate of Jesuit High School of New Orleans, class of 1970. He received his degree from Tulane University and was a retired computer programmer. He was a grateful long-term member of Narcotics Anonymous. Graveside service will be held at Cypress Grove Cemetery, 5064 Canal St., in New Orleans, LA on July 30, 2021 at 10 am.
