Vesta Este Dufrene

Vesta Este Dufrene passed away peacefully on the night of Thursday, February, 4, 2021. She was 94 years young. Vesta was born in Westwego to the late Clebert and Cecile Este. She worked for the Jefferson Parish School System as a school bus driver for just over 23 years. Vesta was a very hard working and ambitious woman and although she enjoyed working for JPSS, she had many other skills and jobs.

Vesta loved to have a good time, she was the life of the party. She loved to sing gospel songs and she always had a smile on her face. She was very fun loving and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Vesta leaves behind her sons, Richard B. Dufrene (Lynda, and the late Juanda); Gerald R. Dufrene (Laura); and Kenneth H. Dufrene. She is also survived by her sister Ann Mae E. Hogan, four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and eight great great grandchildren.

Vesta is preceded in death by her husband, Robert DuFrene; her brothers Huey Este, Junius Este, and Nolan Este and her sisters Lois E. Broadhead and Martha E. Falcon.
