Van Alvin Ricks Jr, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at the age of 40. Beloved husband of Crystal Taravella Ricks for the past 9 years. Father of Trenton Ray Ourso and Remi Lynn Ricks. Son of the late Van Ricks Sr. and Paula Coleman Ricks. Brother of Nicole Ricks Lovas (Donald). Grandson of James Patrick Ricks and Elinor S. Ricks, Marilyn F. Coleman and the late Louis M. Coleman Sr., and the late Yvonne D. Hoffman and late Joseph R. Hoffman. The son-in-law of Raymond and Linda Taravella. He is survived by a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was born and raised on the Westbank and was a resident of Jefferson Parish. Van is a graduate of Archbishop Shaw graduating class of 1999. He became a successful business owner with a focus in audio visual production. Relatives, friends of the family, and clients of TRC Production LLC are invited to attend the funeral service at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, in Harvey on Friday, July 1, 2022, from 11:30AM – 1:30PM with a prayer service to follow in the Chapel at 1:30PM.
