Valerie Cox Hanks, age 92, entered peacefully into eternal life on Sunday, November 28, 2021. Loving wife of 64 years to the late Elric J. Hanks, Sr. and mother of ”Rick” Elric J. Hanks, Jr. A native of Violet, LA and longtime resident of Westwego, LA, Valerie was born on December 22, 1928 to the late Lawrence Cox of St. Gabriel, LA and the late Valerie Hargis Cox of Thibodeaux, LA. She loved her family deeply and will be missed dearly. Friends and family are invited to attend a funeral mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 LAPALCO BLVD, in Marrero at 1PM on Tuesday, December 7, 2021. Visitation will begin at 10:30AM.
