Valerie Winter Cognevich

Valerie Winter Cognevich passed away peacefully on December 14, 2018 at the age of 69 years. Beloved wife of Russell Cognevich. Mother of Becki Mitchell, Mindy Mitchell Bernard (Kevin), Nicholas Cognevich (Laci) and the late Kim Mitchell. Grandmother of Briann, Logan, Parker and Paige. Daughter of Helen Winter and the late William Winter. Sister of Darrell Winter (Melanie), Vicki Winter and Dann Winter. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Valerie graduated from Martin Behrman High School, Class of 1967. She was a longtime editor for Play Meter magazine, a trade magazine for the coin-operated entertainment industry. She truly loved life. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was much loved and will be missed by all.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 1300 Vallette Street, Algiers, LA on Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 10am to 1pm. A Memorial Service will follow.
