Ms. Tsegie Kumbi

Mrs. Tsegie Kumbi was born to her late mother Mrs.Aleme Amede and her father Mr. Kumbi Balcha on June 7 1955 in Addis Ababa Ethiopia.
After she finished her primary and her elementary school, she graduated from Mesrak Atekalai high school in Addis .

Upon completing her high school she started her life in Addis giving birth to her beloved son Redeat W/ Michael know as (Kuku)and working in different sectors until she moved to the United States in the late 90’s. She initially settled in the Washington D C area and moved to New Orleans where she built her home and family. She died February 18 2021 after a prolonged illness.

Mrs. Tsegie Kumbi was the center of her family and friends, she created a loving and caring community wherever she lived,specially to her grandchildren.She was blessed with unconditional love, patience and guidance to her friends and family. She was a good mother, grandmother and sister know as “ Eteye Tsegui” .

Mrs. Tsegie Kumbi is survived by her Son, Redeat ( kuku) her daughter in law Neguisti Bitow,Her grand children Lidya, Nahom and Miriam, her brothers and sisters ,Tesfaye,Almaz,Terefe, Ghenet,Dawit and her beloved family .

Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at St. Marks Coptic Orthodox Church, located at 5333 St. Bernard Ave, New Orleans,La 70122, at 1:30pm, followed by a graveside service at Westlawn Memorial Park. The visitation will begin at 12:00pm. Due to Covid -19 restrictions, all guests are required to wear a facial mask/covering and social distancing will be implemented. Mothe Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements.








የ ወ/ሮ ጽጌ ቁምቢአጭር የሒወት ታሪክ

ወ/ሮ ጽጌ በአዲስ አበባ ከተማ ከእናታቸው ከወ/ሮ አለሜ አምዴ ከአባታቸው ከአቶ ኩምቢ ባልቻ ግንቦት 30 1947 ተወለዱ::
ዕድሜዎ ለትምህርት ሲደርስ የአንደኛ ደረጃ ትምህርቷን ከጨረሰች በኃላ የሁለተኛ ደረጃ ትምህርቷን አዲስ አበባ በሚገኘው ምስራቅ አጠቃላይ አጠናቃለች::

ከዚያም ኑሮዎን በአዲስ አበባ በመቀጠል የአንድ ውንድ ልጅ እናትረድኤት ወልደ ሚካኤል(ኩኩ)በመሆንና በተለያዩ ሞያውች በመሰማራት ኑሮዎን ቀጠለች:: በ90ዎቹ መጀመሪያ ወደ አሜሪካ በመሄድ በዎሽግተን ዲሲ ከዛም ወደ ኒው ኦርሌንስ መጥታ በተለያዩ ሞያዎች እያገለገለች ኑሮዎን በመኖር እያለች ባደረባት የጠና ሕማም ምክንያት ሓሙስ የካቲት 11 2013 ዓ.ም ከዚህ ዓለም በሞት ተለየችን::

ወ/ሮ ጽጌ ኩምቢ በቅርብም ሆነ በሩቅ ለሚያውቋት ወዳጆቿና ዘመዶቿ ለሰው አሳቢ የልጅ ልጆቿን አፍቃሪ ለትንሹም ለትልቁም ተቆርቋሪ ተወዳጅ ፀባይ የነበራት ሁሉንም ፍቅር በሞላበት ሁኔታ የምታስትናግድ እትዬ ጽጌ ብለን የምንጠራት እናትና እህት ነበረች::
