Timothy "Black" Michael Poyadou, Sr.

Timothy M. Poyadou Sr. (Black), 58, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 with his loved ones by his side. He was the beloved husband of Julie Loga Poyadou. Black was a native of New Orleans and lived in Mississippi as a child for a while before resided in Boothville, Louisiana for over 40 years. He loved making new memories with his wife, children and grandchildren. For Black, fishing and hunting was his passion. He has never met a stranger. He loved everyone. Black was a very loving, caring and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be greatly missed by all. He was born on January 3, 1963. He was the son of the late Vestil Poyadou Sr. (Black) and Freida Farve Poyadou Lagman. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Amber M. Poyadou, father, Vestil Poyadou Sr. (Black), mother, Freida Farve Poyadou Lagman, step father, Louis H. Lagman; brothers, Vestil (Black Jr.), Steve (Gus), Barry, and Jessie Poyadou, step brother and step sister Larry and Kimberly Lagman. Black is survived by his beloved wife Julie M. Poyadou, his two sons Dr. Timothy M. Poyadou Jr. (Timmy) and Justin E. Poyadou, his daughter Cayla P. Huon (husband Anthony Huon), grandsons, Thomas and Tate Poyadou and Axel Huon, granddaughters, Presley and Paisley Demoll and baby girl Huon, brother Tracy Poyadou, step brother Louis (Buddy) Lagman Jr. (Vicki) and step sister Joan Dillon, among many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. Visitation will be held Monday, October 4, 2021 at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway in Harvey from 9:00 a.m. until 11 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11AM followed by burial at Our Lady of Good Harbor Cemetery, 35736-35748 Hwy 11, Buras, LA 70041 The family asks that in lieu of flowers to please help pay for the sudden unexpected funeral expenses.
