Theodore Joseph "Joe" Ory Jr

Theodore Joseph "Joe" Ory Jr. went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, January 14th, 2021. He is preceded in death by the love of his life for eighteen plus years, his wife Charlotte Rodgers Ory. Joe is also preceded in death by his parents, Theodore Joseph Ory Sr. and Blanche Trosclair Ory as well as his sisters Blanche Calvo (Bob) and Brenda Ory Durm.
Joe is survived by his son Theodore Joseph "Bubby Joe" Frey (Paula), his daughter Tangia Frey Celestin (Barry), and his stepdaughter Heather Candee (Chris). He is also survived by his grandchildren Emily and Jeremy Frey, Barry Jr, Adam, and Caleb Celestin, Christopher and Harmony Cullen, and Jon Luke Candee; his siblings Delores Johnson (Robert) , Joyce Newman (Stafford) , Patricia Seeling (Dicky), Dennis Ory (June), and Deborah McGinn (Pat). Joe is also survived by a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Joe served his country in the United States Navy. He was a lifelong Mardi Gras artist at Kern Studios for over 50 years. Joe loved Paddling a Pirogue while Fly Fishing. He enjoyed Dancing, and he was a member of Heritage Bible Church in Terrytown, LA. Joe was a lifelong resident of the West Bank.
A memorial service will be held at a future date due to current Covid 19 restrictions.......
