Thelma Gonzales Ahysen peacefully entered into eternal rest on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at the age of 100. Beloved wife of the late Sidney J. Ahysen. Daughter of the late Henry Gonzales and Marie Thibodeaux Gonzales. Mother of Claire Stansberry (the late Lawrence, Jr.) and the late Sydney Mildred Muth Danos (the late Larry). Grandmother of Laurie Stansberry, Larry Stansberry, Lance Stansberry, Lee Stansberry, Matthew Danos, Anna Lisa Danos and Kristina Muth Cantrelle. Great Grandmother of Madison Stansberry, Taylor Stansberry, MacKenzie Stansberry, Larry Stansberry IV, Collin Stansberry, Jacob Stansberry, Katie Stansberry and Cameron Stansberry. Thelma was born in Grosse Tete, LA and was a resident of New Orleans. She was owner of Thelma’s Restaurant in Gretna, LA. She was a member of the Terrytown Golden Ages at the Gretna Senior Center. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 1300 Vallette Street, Algiers, LA on Friday, August 31, 2018 from 12:30PM until 1:30PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 1:30PM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
