Terry Wayne Rutledge, Sr. passed away on July 30, 2018. Beloved husband of Barbara Cowan Rutledge. Father of Terry Rutledge, Jr. (Kelly), Brandy Franklin (Cliff), and Alexander Rutledge (Macy). Grandfather of Ashlyn "Angel #1" Foret, Dari "Angel Athlete" Foret, Emma "Miss Emma" Franklin, Jasmine Rutledge, Jami Rutledge, Hunter Rutledge, and Addison Rutledge. Son of the late Duane Rutledge, Sr. and Gloria Badeaux Rutledge. Brother of Laura Dedebant, Gina Talamo, John Rutledge, David Rutledge, Rebecca Kerwin, Gloria Delgado, Michael Rutledge, and the late Duane Rutledge, Jr. Also survived by numerous brothers and sisters-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and many other relatives. Age 60 years, a native of New Orleans, and resident of St. Charles Parish for the last 12 years. He served in the United States Marine Corps and spent his career as a tug boat captain with Knotts and most recently ADM/ARTCO. Terry was known by his family as one of the greatest men. He was an awesome husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend anyone could ask for. We feel like our lives will never be the same, however we are grateful because he will be our forever guardian angel.
Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Sunday, August 5, 2018 from 6 PM until 10 PM. Visitation will resume at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, Westwego, LA on Monday, August 6, 2018 from 10 AM until Funeral Mass time at 1:30 PM.
