Susan P. Harless

Susan Pauline Harless passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at Wynhoven Nursing Home in Marrero, La. Susan was born in Mattoon, Illinois. She is the daughter of Patricia (Empson) and Bryce Paris; whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by an infant son. Susan has five children; Three daughters, Cindy Silva (David), Kim Anaya (Mark), Jamie Harless (Alex), and two sons Louis Decker and Scott Harless Jr. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, David, Mark, Lizzie, and Jacob. Susan leaves two sisters, Joy Smith, and Katherine Carter, and a brother Keith Shonkwiler (Lisa). One sister and two brothers preceded her in death. She leaves loving nieces and nephews. Susan was a hard worker and did her best to provide for her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Susan enjoyed being with her family. She loved Christmas and loved to give presents especially to her children and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all of her family. We will especially miss her beautiful smile that just never left her face no matter what was happening. Services will be privately held.
