Sidney David Bieber

Sidney “Sid” Bieber passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at the age of 78. He is predeceased by his father, Sidney David Bieber, Sr.; mother, Helen Mary “Nell” LeBlanc Bieber; and his adored goddaughter and niece, Karen Poole Roussel. He is survived by his loving sister Mary Nell Bieber Poole and brother in-law Breland Poole; his 2 beloved children and their spouses, son Steve Bieber, daughter-in-law Verna Patron Bieber, daughter Shelley Bieber Cambre and son-in-law Bret Cambre; Sid’s former wife, continued friend, and mother of Steve and Shelley, Barbara Thibodeaux Bieber; and their 4 grandchildren he loved dearly, Madison Cambre McClendon, Ross Bieber, AnnaBeth Bieber, and Miles Bieber. He is also survived by nephews Breland Poole, Jr. and Kevin Poole, along with other extended family and numerous friends. Sid will be missed by all.

Sid was a native of Harvey, LA and a resident of Gretna, LA for the last 40 years. His passions were working hard, studying history, owning Corvettes and flying airplanes. He worked for McDermott’s aviation department for 24 years, where he developed his love of working on and flying airplanes. After retirement from McDermott, he founded a real estate appraisal business with his partner Susan Nunez, Bieber and Associates. His was very proud of this business, which they successfully built and ran for 22 years. After Susan’s untimely death in 2006, he closed the business, and later worked at Mothe Funeral Homes for the last 10 years. Sid was a rebel at heart, had a great sense of humor, a ham and practical joker, but above all, he was always cool.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway Harvey, LA on Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 9 AM until 11 AM. A Prayer Service will be held in the parlor at 11 AM. Family and friends may offer condolences at mothefunerals.com.
