Shirley Treadaway Cobb, age 84, passed away on December 11, 2020. Loving wife of the late David Clinton Cobb Sr. Born on March 12, 1936 in New Orleans, LA to the late Theresa Schexnayder and Joseph Treadaway. Mother of Judy Hays (Jack), Bonnie E. Costigan (Brian), Thurston D. Cobb, the late Lonnie D. Cobb (Pearl), and the late David Cobb Jr. Sister of Celina Carlisle and preceded in death by Wilford Duplessis, Mary Fisher, Juanita Dureau, Linda Daniels, Grace Linderman, and Diane Franchina. Shirley is survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Shirley loved attending church and spreading the word of God to many people. She loved meeting people and making people happy. If you were lucky to meet Shirley, you would never forget her; and she never forgot anyone she met. She loved to give. Attendees are asked to please help remember Shirley by wearing colorful clothing to honor her love of life. Friends and family are invited to attend a funeral service on Friday, December 18, 2020 at 1pm at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 2100 Westbank Expressway, in Harvey. Visitation will begin at 11:30AM. Interment will follow at Restlawn Cemetery in Avondale. All visitors are required to wear their own masks and keep a social distance while following all current COVID19 mandates.
