Shelby "Shu Shu" Andrew Theriot

Shelby “Shu Shu” Andrew Theriot peacefully entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 1, 2018 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of the late Patricia Terrebonne Theriot. Son of the late Camile Theriot, Sr. and Jeanne Breaux Theriot. Father of Lucien Terrebonne (the late Odessa), Phyllis Theriot, Linda Theriot and Michael Theriot (Penny). Grandfather of Kimberly, Dana, Cindy, Andrew, Brittany, Christopher, Victoria, Lance, Seth and the late Scott and Kayla. Brother of Ruben Theriot (Paula), Donald Theriot, Albert Theriot, Jr. (the late Mary), Regina Wilcox (the late John, Sr.), Lydia Kern (the late Eddie), Bella Turnipseed (the late Larry) and the late Harold Theriot (survived by Rita Mae) and Camile Theriot, Jr. Shelby is also survived b y 13 great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces and nephews. He was born in New Orleans and was a resident of Marrero, LA and presently a resident of Raceland for 6 years. He served his country while enlisted in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He served aboard the USS Talladega. Shelby worked for American Cyanamid for 32 years until his retirement. He was also a member of the VFW of Marrero for many years. The family would like to express a sincere appreciation to St. Joseph Hospice for their care given to Shelby during his illness. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 9:30AM until 11:30AM. A funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 11:30AM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
