Sharon K. Cemo

June 4, 1954 — May 5, 2022

Sharon K. Cemo entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at the age of 67. Beloved wife of the late Princeton Angelo Cemo, Sr. Daughter of the late Vernon and Adele Kinchen. Mother of Dawn Cemo Dufrene, (Charles, Jr.), Corey Lee Cemo (Michelle) and the late Princeton “PJ” Cemo, Jr. Grandmother of Daniel Cemo (Malinda), Jennie Longwell, Charles Dufrene, III (Trey), Blake Cemo, Mea Longwell, Peyton Dufrene, Carson Ockmand-Lenoir (KiKi) and Chloe VanNess. Sister of Randy Kinchen (Justine). Daughter-in-law of the late Vincent and LeeAnna Cemo. Sister-in-law of Sharon Veller, Anthony Cemo (Debbie) and the late Vincent Cemo, Jr. and Nicholas Cemo. Sharon had a special place in her heart for her dearest, Aunt Paddie Walsh. Sharon is also survived by many nieces, nephews, godchildren, great godchildren, adopted children, grandchildren, lifelong friends and her Canine Companion, Arthur Mac Cemo. Sharon worked as a teacher at Amigo Ames School, Expressway Lanes and Westbank Dental Center. She loved working with children the most. She was a substitute teacher at John Ehret High School and very involved with the band and flag team, when her daughter attended John Ehret. She had a love of the New Orleans Saints and has been a season ticket holder for 30+ years. She also loved her nights out of bowling and darts. She was a member of the Greater New Orleans Dart Association and American Bowling Association. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed her years of camping in Pensacola with the love of her life. She is now back with him watching over all of us, with a huge smile on her face. The family would like to thank all of the family and friends who helped out over the last few months by praying, building a ramp, delivering food, sitting with our mom or just visiting to keep us company. There are far too many to name, but you all know who you are and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. As Gran would say, “I love you all to the moon and back, a million times!” In lieu of flowers the family would prefer donations made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, Louisiana on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 from 6PM until 12 Midnight. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Thursday morning, May 12, 2022 from 9AM until 2PM. Funeral Services will be held the funeral home on Thursday at 2PM.
