Sandra Ann Carriere

April 22, 1967 — December 24, 2021

Sandra Ann Carriere was born on April 22, 1967, in Orleans Parish. She transitioned peacefully on December 24, 2021, in Waggaman, LA where she resided for over forty years. Sandra was born to Arthur Scott Carriere Sr. and Elaine Carriere as the eldest child of five children. At the age of 18, Sandra became the first in her family to graduate from high school. She completed her education at West Jefferson High. Prior to attending West Jefferson she attended Henry Ford where she was heavily involved, even reigning as the 1981 Homecoming Queen. During her 54 years of life, Sandra was a jovial soul who possessed an infectious, outgoing personality. She was truly a woman dedicated to her family and friends alike. She demonstrated this through her love for her five children whom she raised in the light of the Lord. Known to be conversational and welcoming, Sandra was always ready to lend a listening ear and offer counsel to anyone in need. Her generous and loving spirit was the reason Sandra was loved so dearly by many more than her immediate family. Overall, Sandra was a woman who lived her life happily by traveling as much as she could whether it be cruises or road trips to the beach, all things New Orleans like Mardi Gras, gardening and spending time with her granddaughter, Anastasia. She will be dearly missed by all her children, grandchildren, sisters, brothers, in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her grandparents and great-grandparents. Sandra is survived by her beloved children: Timmie W. Hebert Jr. (Ashley Hebert), Dustin R. Hebert (Kim Oanh Hebert), Vickie M. Dede, Alexis Dede, and Benard Dede Jr; grandchildren: Anastasia B. Hebert; siblings: Rebecca Custer (James Custer), Arthur S. Carriere, Jr., Elizabeth Herberg, and the late Vickie Carriere; and parents: Arthur S. Carriere, Sr. and Elaine Carriere. Words from her family: TJ: “Gone, but never forgotten.” Vickie: “Your contagious love and happiness will always be with me.”, BenBen: “I love you the most”, Anon: “Who loves you baby?”, Dustin: “ Thank you for your love, I lack nothing”, Dad: “Daddy’s Little Girl”, Mom: “Beloved sweet outgoing daughter who never met a stranger”.
