Sadie Mccloskey Acosta

Sadie McCloskey Acosta, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at the age of 88. She is preceded in death by her son, Elliott Joseph Acosta Sr.; her grandson, Elliott Joseph Acosta Jr.; her parents, Joseph C. McCloskey and Hazel Verberne McCloskey; her sisters, Claire McCloskey Haschalk, Helen McCloskey Camus; her niece, Sadie Pilley; and her nephew, Bobby Haschalk. She is the beloved wife of Robert L. Acosta. She is the devoted and loving mother of Kathy, Bobby, Blaine, and Shane. She is the cherished grandmother of Landon, Tyler, and Lauren. She is the loving aunt of Pat Davis, Pat Rice, Jessica Olszewski. She is also survived by other family and many friends. A very devout Christian, she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A special thank you to Sadie’s nurse and best friend Lois Mitchell. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Visitation beginning at 9:00AM followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 22, 2018 all at Anchor of Hope Baptist Church, 463 Wall Blvd., Gretna, LA.
