Ruben Arellano Jr. went home to his heavenly Father on January 16, 2019 at the age of 48.
Beloved husband of Zabrina Zea Arellano. Devoted father to Mia Rose Arellano and Megan Lilly Arellano. Son of Ruben Arellano Sr. and Paula Burciaga Kelly. Step-son of the late Jim Kelly. Brother of Pamela Arellano Cappell(Paul) and Paul Michael Arellano(Leah). Brother in law of Cindy Ferguson(John), Patricia Fisher(Kelly), Carla Jackson(John). Beloved extended family, Daniel and Nanci Hurd Sr., Rachel Hurd, Daniel Hurd Jr. and Jennifer Schwehm. Uncle of Kasey, Kristian, Ethan, Evan, John, Chris, Bryant, Mac, Hayden, John Holice and Daniel III.
Also survived by other loving relatives and many friends.
Ruben was happiest when he was with his family, from vacations and gatherings to family game nights. He enjoyed going to concerts, listening to music and playing his guitar. He was very health conscious and worked out whenever he could. On Sundays you could always find Ruben cheering on his New Orleans Saints.
His love remains with us forever.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Visitation at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, 315 Ridgelake Dr. Metairie, La. 70001 on Saturday January 26, 2019 from 2pm to 4pm. Memorial service will follow at 4pm.
