Roy S. Bordelon

Roy S. Bordelon passed away peacefully at his home on November 28, 2017 at the age of 76 years. Beloved husband of Earline Stein Bordelon. Father of Judi Bynum (Neal), Roy S. Bordelon (Penny), Melissa M. Bordelon Lawson (Henry), Jenefer M. Bordelon, Paul M. Bordelon (Suly), the late Keith A. Bordelon and Chris “Nonny” Bordelon (Bernadette). Grandfather of Angie, Robert, Kevin, Brad, Brent, Tommy, Ashley (Wayne), Casey (Mike), Jordan, Frankie, Zachary, Raquel, Jordan, Leila, Paul Jr., Cole, Lizbeth, Janel, Christopher Jr. and the late Guy. Great-grandfather of “Lil” Kevin, Ava Jean, Olivia, Claire and Aali’yah.

Brother of Eloise Franklin (Jay), the late Elia Mae Lachney (the late Webster), Melvin “Coon” Bordelon (the late Lorene) and James Bordelon. Son of the late Sylvan and Corine Dubroc Bordelon. Also survived by his friend, Richard Franco and many other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Roy was retired from the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office and was a member of Fraternal Order of Police (F.O.P.). As a devout Christian, he was a member of Hosanna Fellowship Church.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Hosanna Church, 2215 Barataria Boulevard in Marrero on Monday, December 4, 2017 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM. Services will follow. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park in Gretna.
