Roy G Albert

Roy G Albert passed away on October 6, 2021 at the age of 62. Roy was born in Port Arthur, Texas on September 18, 1959 to Frank and Betty Albert.
Roy is survived by his long time loving friend, June Alleman; his mother, Betty Jane Albert; his sister, Glenda Juka (Ronnie); and his beloved family member, Tracy West. Roy is also survived by Samuel Albert.
Roy is preceded in death by his father, Frank "Bryant" Albert, and his brother, Don Albert (Lynn).
Roy worked for the New Orleans Post Office for 32 years. During those years, Roy met and made friends with many people, several of which turned into life long friendships. Roy's real passion in life was music; he only tolerated having to work. He loved to play the piano, and he was an amazing harmonica player. He played locally with several different bands, as well as solo gigs. Roy will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service for Roy on Friday, October 15, 2021 at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, 70058 at 10am. A visitation will begin at 9am. Interment will immediately follow the funeral service in Westlawn Cemetery, Gretna, La.
