Rosita Medina Arriola

Rosita Medina Arriola, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 2, 2020 at the age of 92. Born August 9, 1928 in Asuncion Mita, Guatemala, she was the matriarch of the Arriola family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jose Guillermo Arriola Gamez; and her parents, Maria Luisa Vazquez Figueroa and Angel Salvador Medina Torres. She is the loving mother of Mima Arriola Davila (Orlando), Fernando Arriola Medina (Mari), Floridalma Arriola Landry ( the late Roland), and Mirian Arriola Campos (Cesar). She is the devoted grandmother of Rosemarie Davila Steffers, Cyntia Davila Flores, Igor Davila, Kimberly Arriola Wand, Sarah Arriola Gutierrez, Roland Landry III, Christopher Landry, Stephanie Landry Hudson, Monica Campos Fazande, and Karla Campos. She is the loving great grandmother of 17 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Rosita was a past member of the Lions Club, recipient of the Order of St. Louis; longtime member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Marrero; and a member of the Secular Order of Mary, St. Anthony Pucci, Marrero, LA. A loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Visitation on Saturday, October 10, 2020 beginning at 11:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 1:30 PM at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA.
