Rosemary Brandt Verneuil passed away Saturday, January 22, 2022. Beloved wife of Clarence
“Joe” Verneuil for 49 years. Mother of Clarence “Joe” Verneuil, Jr. (Karen), Cheryl Miller (Charlie) and Kevin Verneuil (Christine). Grandmother of Sarah, Sam, Victoria “Tori”, Madelyn “Maddie”, Abigail, and Katie. Born on September 9, 1946, Rosemary was the daughter of the late James Robert Brandt, Sr. and the late Rita Marie Letellier. Sister of Margaret Romaire (the late Richard), Vivian Abadie (Albert “Kippy”), Jimmy Brandt (Christine), and Linda Baker (Mike). She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Rosemary was a devout Catholic who spent the majority of her life on the Westbank of New Orleans. She enjoyed many years as a school bus driver for Holy Cross High School and Boomtown Casino. The majority of her time was devoted to her husband of nearly 50 years, her children, and her grandchildren. Rose enjoyed her love of cooking, especially during the holidays; with seafood gumbo serving as her specialty. She really enjoyed eating crawfish but loved all the cuisine New Orleans offers. She spent her free time with her husband visiting various casino shows all along the Gulf Coast as well as several trips to Tennessee. In the latter stages of life, she received outstanding care and dedicated service from Ochsner Baptist Hospital, John J Hainkel Nursing and Rehab Facility, and Heart of Hospice. Rose loved life and loved to laugh. All those who knew her also loved to watch her laugh. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Heart Association in Rosemary’s honor at:
