Rosalene "Rose" Clark Sanzone

Mrs. Rosalene “Rose” Clark Sanzone, 72, of Harvey, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2021. She was born in New Orleans, LA on September 17, 1948 and graduated from St. Joseph Academy High School and went on to attend Northwestern State University. Rosalene was married to Russ Nicholas Sanzone on November 26, 1976. They were married 44 years.
Rosalene worked for several years at National Airlines as a booking agent and was also a volunteer worker at St. Rosalie School.
She is survived by her husband, Russ, her two daughters, Sabrina Sanzone Hawkins (Jeff) and Mia Sanzone Jacomine (Christian) and her five grandchildren, Zachary Hawkins, Nicholas Hawkins, Kaylee Hawkins, Gianna Jacomine and Luca Jacomine, and her brother, Harold S. Clark, Jr. (Agnes). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Harold S. Clark, Sr. and her mother, Rosie Badalamenti Clark.
Rosalene was an active member of St. Martha’s Catholic Church in Harvey and served as a Eucharistic Minister. She was a member of The Bosom Buddies breast cancer support group and St. Rosalie Parish School Board.
Rosalene enjoyed gardening, dancing, traveling and playing Pokerkeno. Russ and Rosalene liked to take cruises and were planning a trip to Hawaii. Rosalene enjoyed elaborately decorating for every holiday. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and friend. The funeral mass will be held at 11am on May 22, 2021 at St. Martha’s Catholic Church, 2225 Apollo Ave., Harvey, LA with Fr. Lich Nguyen officiating. Public visitation will be held from 9:30-11am at St. Martha’s. Burial will follow the funeral at Greenwood Cemetery. The family wishes to thank Dr. Marc Matrana and his staff for the wonderful care Rosalene received over the last three years.
