Roberta Priscilla Peck

Roberta Priscilla Peck passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at the age of 79. Beloved daughter of the late Bert and Gertie Peck. Sister of the late Gayle Peck Hoffman (Richard). Aunt and Godmother of Jason Hoffman (Kari), Great Aunt of Tyler Hoffman. Godmother of Priscilla Tullier Jones (Coye). Also survived by her "adopted" son, Rafael Gaytan Davila of Saltillo, Mexico and many loving cousins and friends. She retired from the State of Louisiana, Delta Queen Steamboat Co., and Crescent River Pilots. She was a lifelong resident of Algiers, Louisiana, and a parishioner of Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church.
Roberta was the quintessential "Southern Belle" who cherished both her time and place in history, and could no more leave New Orleans, than Miss Scarlett leave Tara Plantation. Long, sultry summer afternoons on the front porch, listening to the magical melodies from the calliope on the Sternwheeler Natchez; ships’ stacks sliding silently ‘round the Point. All the sights and sounds of the "Big Muddy". Close enough to heaven, until now.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church, Algiers, LA on Friday, April 27, 2018 at 11 am.
