Roberta Borne Guidry Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Roberta Borne Guidry, age 75, passed away on July 24, 2022. Loving spouse of Robert Guidry, Sr. for 46 years and mother of Denise Guidry Jones (Clarence), Christine F. Guidry (Earl Bel) and Robert J. Guidry, Jr. (Shelly). Grandmother of Christian Holmes, Robert J. Guidry, III, Ava Jones, Cierra Jones, Alan Migliaccio Jr., and Harlyn Bel. Great-grandmother of Linden Holmes and the late Harper Williams. Roberta was born on October 3, 1946 in New Orleans, LA to the late Robert P. Borne and the late Dorothy Boudreaux Borne. Roberta was the long time secretary to the fire chief of Westwego Fire Co. #1, as well as a volunteer of the Westwego Fire Department. Previous to that she was the secretary to the Chief of Police of Westwego, and the Westwego Civil Service Board Secretary. She was very active in the Moose Lodge 2105 of Harvey. In her spare time she was an avid crafter whose art was often seen at local craft shows. She was born and raised in Algiers, LA, lived in Westwego, LA, but retired and spent her most recent time in Greensburg, LA. A special thanks to the staff of the Lodge at Tangi Pines, especially Amy and Revon who took great care of her during her most difficult time. Friends and family are invited to attend a funeral service at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 LAPALCO BLVD., in Marrero, LA on Friday, July 29, 2022 at 11:00 am. Visitation will begin on Thursday, July 28, 2022 from 5PM to 8PM and again on Friday morning from 9:30 am until funeral time. Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum in Westwego, LA.
