Robert J Wilson Jr

Robert J. Wilson Jr. “Bob”, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, May 9, 2022, at the age of 78. He was born on July 3, 1943, in Pascagoula, MS to the late Robert J. Wilson Sr. and Ruby Carroll Wilson.
Bob was one of the original founders of Wilco Marsh Buggies, Inc. and he was also the co-founder of New Orleans Ladies Ballroom.
When Bob wasn’t at the ballroom with Jan preparing for events, he was spending time with his grandchildren. He loved to spend time with his family. He enjoyed fishing, and he especially enjoyed “patio time” with his best friends George LeBlanc and Donald Richard. They would enjoy ice cold Coors Light and talk politics.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Jan Molaison Wilson; his children, Neal R. Wilson, Stephen M. Wilson, and Tiffany Wilson Heath; his grandchildren, Nathan Wilson, Carson M. Heath, and Mason R. Heath. He is also survived by his siblings, John M. Wilson Sr., Beverly Wilson Bruce (Darrell), Dean R. Wilson (Sheryl), and Paul K. Wilson (Susan). Bob also leaves behind his previous wife, Nancy P. Mancuso.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert J.Wilson Sr., and Ruby Carroll Wilson.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 18, 2022, at 1pm at New Orleans Ladies Ballroom., 1771 Stumpf Blvd, Terrytown, LA 70056.
