Robert Taylor Sevalia Sr

Robert Taylor Sevalia Sr. transitioned to his heavenly home on Monday, December 20, 2021 at the age of 82. Beloved husband of the late JoElla Sevalia. Father of Denise Sevalia, Rosalind Sevalia, Robert Taylor Sevalia, Jr. (Linda), Roy Sevalia (Pamela), Darryl Sevalia (Tanya), Dion Sevalia Davis (Rodney), Steven Sevalia, Gantry Sevalia, and Terrence Sevalia. Brother of Gloria S. Pichon, Melvin Watts, William Watts, and the late Roy Sevalia. Also survived by 28 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. He leaves to cherish his memory a host of nieces, nephews, friends and in-laws. He was baptized at Metropolitan Baptist Church. He served in construction and was known as a jack of all trades, and loved fishing and gardening. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of San Felipe “Sealy” Texas. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 1pm. Visitation will be held from 11am until 1pm. Interment will be held privately at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
