Richard Patrick Leblanc Sr.

Richard Patrick LeBlanc Sr., age 75, passed away on January 15, 2021 from complications of Parkinson’s disease and heart problems. Beloved husband of Gail Savoy Leblanc for 42 years. Father of Laraine LeBlanc Smith, the late Richard LeBlanc Jr., and the late David Loyd Jr. Grandfather of Emily, Alexis, and Olivia Smith, and Kate-Lynn and Megan Loyd. Great grandfather of Dean Shakhshir. Son of the late Alfred “Steamboat” and Eva Mae LeBlanc. Brother of Dorothy LeBlanc Eskine and Vada LeBlanc Rogers. Also, survived by a host of nieces and nephews and other family members. Richard retired from Southern Pacific Railroad. In his younger years, he was a passionate hunter and fisherman. Our great loss of Richard on this Earth is Heaven’s most precious gain. Jesus was waiting for him with open arms to welcome him into his forever home. No more hurting, no more pain. Praise God. Friends and family are invited to attend a funeral service on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 1PM at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expy., in Harvey. Visitation will begin at 11:30AM. Interment will follow immediately at Westlawn Memorial Park in Gretna. All visitors are required to wear their own masks and keep a social distance while following all current COVID19 mandates.
