Raymond Joseph Hanley

May 23, 1945 — November 9, 2021

Raymond Joseph Hanley passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 surrounded by family. He was the beloved husband of Janet for 57 years. He is survived by his sister, Jackie; his children, Brent and Greg (Melissa); his grandchildren, Brock and Blake (mother Kelly) and Brooke and Bryce (Mother Deonne). He was preceded in death by his mother, Ella; his father, James and his brother, Jim. Ray was a lifelong resident of Algiers and was a member of Terrytown Country Club. Ray touched the lives of everyone he met. He was a man of unconditional love. He may have been a man of few words, but he knew how to make you feel full whether it be through your heart or your tummy. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, friend, coach and player. Ray will be missed by all that have come into contact with him. There’s not a person that met him that didn’t love him.
