Raymond "Ray" Bergeron

Raymond “Ray” Bergeron, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at the age of 87. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emile Bergeron Sr. and Ella Blanchard Bergeron; his siblings, Emile Bergeron Jr., Marcella Graffeo, and Ella Louise Templet. He is the beloved husband of 65 years of Mary Ann Gros Bergeron. He is the loving father of Michael Bergeron (Marleen), Rae Ann Harrell (Ronald), Cheryl Burke (Robert), and Daryl Bergeron (Sheldon). He is the devoted grandfather of Tiffany Closson (Grant), Kristin Harrell, Ashley Monk (Tyler), and Haley Roser (Stephen). He is the loving great grandfather of Christian Buras, Wyatt Closson, and Ethan Closson. He is the beloved brother of Jackie Jumonville. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family and many friends. A long-time resident of the Westbank, and a current resident of Mandeville, he was a 30- year employee with Chevron Oil Company, and a US Navy Veteran. A very talented woodworker, Ray enjoyed gardening and mostly spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Visitation on Saturday, August 11, 2018 beginning at 8:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM all at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 4401 7th Street, Marrero, LA. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA. in charge of arrangements.
