Paul James Becnel Jr

December 30, 1991 - February 10, 2022

Paul James Becnel Jr., age 30, a lifelong resident of Naomi, LA, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2022. Beloved son of Connie Austin Becnel and Paul James Becnel Sr. Brother of Nicole Becnel Darbonne (Spencer), Uncle to Kane Scott Darbonne. Paul James is survived by his grandparents Lois Danos Becnel and Robert Ray Becnel Sr., Glenda Maddox Austin, Tellis Roger Austin and Mary Ellen Austin. Also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Paul James was a graduate of Shaw High School. He was smart, handsome, and talented. His passions included working on the family owned 6th generation orange orchard, and playing with his cat Lila. He loved watching Jeopardy with his mom and playing Jenga with his dad. Paul was known for his linguistic skills and could sell ice to an eskimo. He loved holding his nephew and playing with his little toes. Paul James will be greatly missed by many who loved him dearly. Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Prayer service on Friday, February 18, 2022 at 11AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 8968 LA-23, in Belle Chasse.
