Pamela S Billiot

May 6, 1951 — September 16, 2021

Pamela S. Billiot passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at the age of 70. She was born in New Orleans on May 6, 1951 to George Bechtel Jr and Elsie Ladner Strain.
Pamela was a graduate of L. W. Higgins, class of 1970 and from there she became a dental assistant. She enjoyed working as a dental assistant and continued to do so until 1978, when she retired to dedicate herself and her life to her family. Pamela loved her family. She was there for every event her boys participated in. She was part of the Archbishop Shaw Parents Association, and she always participated in fundraising events and she especially loved tailgating. Pam loved going to Baton Rouge and spending time with her son Brett, she became the "Honorary" mom at tailgates.
Pam liked to garden in her spare time and she loved to bake her famously delicious rum cakes. She loved spending her time playing pokeno with her pokeno group as well. Pam was so full of life and love and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Pamela Billiot is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Norman Paul Billiot; her adoring son Brett Patrick Billiot; her mother Elsie Ladner Strain, and her siblings; Harold Dean Strain Jr and Susan Strain Pilgram. Pam is also survived by her cousins; Chester Ladner (Cheryl), Valerie Garbin (Vatro), Bridget Ladner (Holt), DeeAnna Jurisic (Jakov), and Vanessa Dekovic (Danijel), her nephews; Beau and Brian Guise, Sean Gabriel Owens, and Tyler and Garrett Strain, and her sister-in-law Rachael Strain. She was like a second mother and grandmother to the Markase family, as well as the Monier's, the Brown's, and the Landry's. Pamela never knew a stranger and she was loved by so many.
Pamela is preceded in death by her son "her heart" Brandon Paul Billiot; her father, George Bechtel Jr, and her dearest niece, Stephanie Lynn Strain. She is also preceded in death by her In-laws, Chief William Lovince and Elizabeth Viola Billiot.
