Norma Shirley Lala Kent

Norma Shirley Lala Kent, age 98 passed away on 8-16-21 at West Jefferson Medical Center. Beloved wife of the late John Joseph Kent, Jr. and mother of the late John J. Kent, III. Daughter of the late Joseph Lala and Anna Hackney Lala, and preceded in death by her siblings Joseph Lala and Mary Ellen La la Fleetwood. She is survived by her daughter, Ann Kent Robbins (Danny), grandmother to Sandra Maggard and Kelly Robbins, and three great grandchildren Sophia, Kylar, and Seth, and lots of nieces and nephews. She was a New Orleans native, living the last 18 years at Waldenberg Retirement Home. She was a feisty ball of energy, and was always willing to donate her time to help others. She loved educating herself, and took college courses regularly. She especially loved cooking, painting, and traveling. She will be greatly missed by her family.
