Noel R. "Speedy" Durkes

Noel R. “Speedy” Durkes passed away peacefully on February 3, 2019 at the age of 75. Beloved son of the late Inez Z. Durkes and Noel J. Durkes. Brother of Joel I. Durkes. Loving brother-in-law of the late Peggy G. Durkes. Survived by a host of cousins, family and friends.
Speedy was a longtime employee of Precision PSI. He was member of Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church as well as the Aardvarks Social and Athletics Club, Gretna Sportsman’s Club and Krewe of Thoth Carnival Club.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting Masses, in his memory, at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 1300 Vallette Street, Algiers, LA on Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 9am to 11am. A Funeral Mass will follow. Interment St. Bartholomew Cemetery in Algiers.
