Nedjeljko Popich

Nedjeljko Popich, a native of Brijesta, Croatia, a longtime and proud resident of Empire, Louisiana and more recently Gretna, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at the age of 79. Beloved husband of Suncana Garbin Popich. Beloved son of the late Frane Radetic Popic and the late Marko Popic. Brother of the late Vera Krelic, Anton Popich (Kate), Ivo Popich (the late Nike), Marija Ljubic, and Agneza Krelic. Loving father of Robert (Ashley) and Nedo. Also survived by grandson, Robert Luka Popich, step-grandchildren, Gracie and Sadie Ladek, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Popich was a lifelong commercial fisherman and loved to be on the water. He loved to watch his favorite teams, Saints and Pelicans, on television and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life for Nedjeljko Popich on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, La 70058 beginning at 10am until 12pm.
