Ned Joseph Chiro

Ned Joseph Chiro of Old Jefferson, Louisiana was called home by his creator on January 25, 2021. Ned was born on November 11, 1947. He attended East Jefferson High School, Southeastern University, where he was a member of KDT Fraternity, and the University of Illinois. Ned received his Juris doctorate from Loyola Law School. He worked in the Parish Attorney’s Office until his retirement. He was appointed by the governor to serve on the East Jefferson Levee District, and he was also a member of the National Institute of Government Purchasers. Ned gave up his law practice when he lost his sight in 2010.
Ned leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 15 years, Brenda Daigle Illg Chiro, his step daughter Robyn Illg Dansereau , his step son in law, Dr. Degan Dansereau, and their two children, Lucille and Degan Dansereau, Jr. Ned loved his two grandchildren immensely, and loved being called PawPaw.
Ned will be missed by many friends and family members, especially by his loyal and caring cousins.
It was Ned’s wish to be cremated. Because of CoVid-19, no services will be held.
