Nashia Renae Perry was born March 12 ,2003 to the union of Reginald Perry and Regena Young. Nashia accepted Christ at the age of 5 at Bethlehem Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of

Pastor Bennie Young and was also a faithful member of Bethlehem Antioch Missionary Baptist Church until Nashia and her family moved to Alabama.

Nashia received her education in 3 different school districts. She attended school in Kansas City, MO Charter School District until she moved to Alabama and attended school in Montgomery Public School District. Nashia received her diploma from Helen Cox High School in Jefferson Parish School District. In all her years of attending school she has been an honor roll student! She was a member of Honor Society, ROTC, and Band. Nashia had over 10 scholarship offers from over 5 different states and was accepted into Tulane University and LSU.

She loved listening to music, drawing in her sketch pad, doing hair with her sister and to binge watch movies and T.V. shows with her family in her spare time. She also loved road trips with her mother and little brother! She loved traveling back home to Kansas City to visit her Godparents, aunts and cousins back home.

She departed this life on September 12,2021 in New Orleans, LA. Her grandparents Vernon Young Sr., Saundra Young, great grandmothers Emette Clark and Bernice Perry; Her great grandfathers Forest Clark and Robert Perry; Her uncles Glen Young , Vernon Young Jr., and Terry Amis ; Her cousins Glen Jr , Brian Young , and Desean Parker all preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory her parents Reginald Perry and Regena Young; her siblings Karon King, Robert Embry-Young Jr, Dajai Embry-Young, and Shakila Swinton; Her grandparents Janice Perry and Hayward Palmer (Valerie). Her godparents Nakeysha Bell-Brown and Robert Brown; Her godbrothers Ralph Brown and Lamont Bell. Her aunties Emette Young, Vernnetta Bell (Prince), Tasha Amis (Sahr), Latasha Palmer, Rashawnda Townsend, Adrian Shaw (Jason), Rochelle Hamilton-Robinson, Rochelle Perry. Her uncles Kenneth Young (Dorothy), James Perry, Terry Young Sr., Dominique Palmer and two nephews Kaeo Bell and Drayson Banks.

She also leaves behind a host of cousins and friends. She grew separate bonds with each and every one of you and sprinkled her joyful energy in our lives in her own special way.

A gathering of family and friends will take place at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Boulevard, Marrero, LA on Thursday, October 7, 2021 from 1pm to 2pm. Memorial Services will follow in the funeral home chapel.

Respectful of current guidelines, all attendees should wear their own mask/face covering and practice distancing.
