Nancy Ann Nieber Morrison

Nancy Ann Nieber Morrison passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at the age of 81. She was the beloved wife of the late John Fred Morrison. They had a wonderful marriage for 27 years, and a love like no other. They were truly a match made in heaven. She was the mother of the late Beth Ann Robichaux Barrios, Christine Robichaux Carubba (Adam Dauser), and Amy Robichaux Croal (Troy). Daughter of the late Frank Louis Carl Nieber, and the late Emma Anna Seifert Nieber; Sister to the late Frank Walter Nieber, son of Frank L.C. Nieber; Sister to Richard Walter Nieber (Patricia Olsen Nieber); Aunt to Susan Nieber O’mick (Tim) and Sharon Nieber. Grandmother to Heather Barrios Whitworth (Sean), Laurel Barrios Schweitzer (Eric), Peyton Barrios (Brooke), Allison Carubba, Mallory Carubba, Derek Robichaux (Lanie), Taylor Knight, and Leighton Knight. Great grandmother to Bella and Talin Whitworth. She was a Sister-in-law to Clara Mae “Sissy” Morrison, a step-mother to Leslie Morrison Seals, and Douglas Morrison; Grandmother to Savannah Seals and Mason Seals. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Nancy was born and raised in Worcester Massachusetts, but was a resident of the New Orleans area for the last 48 years. She was a blessing to the world and all who knew her. She was a member of the Red Hat’s Society, a long time parishioner of Belle Chasse United Methodist Church, and a very active member of the United Methodist Women’s group. She loved life, her family and her friends… and it showed in everything she did. She ministered to people’s hearts and minds through her daily inspirational writings and poems. She touched more people’s hearts than she ever knew with her endless compassion and limitless love. She was more than understanding, and she had the ability to find humor in any situation. She was one of a kind, and will truly be missed. Family and friends are invited to attend her memorial on Saturday, February 13, 2021 from 10am – 1pm with her memorial service starting at 12pm in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd, Marrero, LA. Attendees are asked to wear a face covering and adhere to social distancing.
